Celebrating our Kalayaan at Siklab

It was a long time ago since our first president waved our flag and declared us free. Every year on the same day since, we celebrate Independence Day by waving our flags and by keeping the fire in our hearts burning. The only thing missing is that we’ve never really filled our tummies to the brim to keep up with all the patriotism. Fortunately, Siklab is here to help us out.

Keep the fire alive in your hearts and your stomach as Siklab launches the Kalayaan Feast. In the celebrations of our 116th Independence Day, we salute our people by serving our best seller Chicken Barbeque for a very patriotic price of Php116. Marinated for six hours and tended with lots of love and nationalism, it is a heroic meal worth sharing.

So celebrate our independence by eating something that is closer to home. Come on out and try our Chicken Barbeque at Siklab, Level 3, Greenbelt 3, on June 12 and feel the Filipino love ala Bistro.

Looking for So Juicy, So Lambot Chicken? Go to Kok's Manok!

My husband Mon love chicken so much.  Roasted, Fried, Steamed he'll eat them all as long as they're edible :P  Actually in our three (3) years here in Cavite, we've been looking for a different taste in chicken.  We've tried Baliwag, Senior Pedro, Chooks to Go and even Andok's but something is still missing...???

The good news is, my blogger friend Koko and her partner opened a place which cater a sinfully delicious roasted chicken, last August 31, 2013, the Kok's Manok. Their take-out restaurant already gained followers in Imus, Cavite just a month after its opening. But from a handful of stores that I also mentioned above, which offers the same product, why does Kok’s Manok continues to gain loyal customers?

My Destination Wish List

My wife and I love to travel.  In fact, we visited almost all of the most beautiful places in the Philippines, including BicolBoracay, Cebu, Davao, Laoag, Tagaytay, Vigan and a lot more.  Though there comes a time when we have to stop on travelling a lot because we wanted to have a baby and we think that when we lie low (lessen) on our travel adventures we could have one, but sad to say it didn't helped us.

Cebu trip
Cebu is like Manila, same building structures, same establishments even the night life.  I miss the danggit (dried fish) here and also the dried mangoes and most of all the people and the views!

Chocolate Hills in Bohol
Oh my Chocolate hills!  I think people living in Bohol are lucky because this is the only place in the Philippines or maybe in the world wherein hills are chocolate (well not literally :)  According to them, they call it chocolate hills because they became chocolate-y in color during the dry season.

Water Worth: Just How Much Is Right For You

Water is essential to our bodies. It has many benefits that help us lose weight, gain muscle, and stay focused on our tasks. While most people know the benefits of water, most of us ask: how much is enough?

“In my experience, most people are not aware of how much they’re drinking and are not drinking enough – many, as little as half of what they need.”-says Amanda Carlson, RD, Director of Performance Nutrition at Athletes’ Performance, which trains many world- class athletes

While most people say that the number of glasses you don’t drink in a day isn’t important, it is. Knowing how much you drink will help you stay hydrated at all times.
Water is involved in every cellular process and once dehydrated; these processes slow down and affect your metabolism, along with other bodily functions.
While some people may not be concerned with monitoring their drinking habit, note that even just being 1% dehydrated already affects the body greatly.

It's Time to Swish your Bad Breath Away!

Have you experienced talking to someone with bad breath? Or even beside with someone with garlic-ky smell?  It's disgusting right? Will you let yourself be that someone with foul breath?
Uh-oh!  If I where you, I won't!
Swish Tipid Pack
Swish tipid pack
Personal hygiene including oral hygiene for me is as essential as foods.  Why?  Because we talk everyday or even every hour.  We communicate when we're buying at the store, when inquiring for directions and when dealing with our clients.  So it's better to have fresh breath all day or when necessary.
I've tried different kinds of mouthwash.  There's a mouthwash that's too strong, I feel like being stung by a bee.  The other tastes like flower, and I don't like it.  Good thing Unilab gave me Swish mouthwash and breath spray to try (thank you).

AZKALS: Celebrating Challenges and Inspiring Victories with Alaska Milk

Who would not know the Azkals? No, not the "asong kalye"(street dogs), though the name came from that, well that's another story.

Azkals, hailed by football enthusiasts as the “Saviour of Philippine Football”.  They has proven that Filipinos have so much to celebrate about the sport, as they play from one glory to another, yeah!

Pontefino Hotel & Residences is the Official Home of the Azkals in Batangas

The Philippine Azkals have won the hearts thousands of Filipinos and marked the beginning of the country’s fascination for football —no mean feat in a country devoted to basketball. While very little was expected of the team, they have defied all expectations by winning match after match after more established teams and clubs abroad.
